The present site of Samundri city was Chak No. 533.G.B in 1887. Later on it was named Samundri. Samundri is situated at a distance of 45 K.M. from Faisalabad. The only means of communication is by road. Katchery bazaar, Mandi bazaar, Nehar bazaar, Qasim bazaar and Chaki bazaar are the important commercial areas in the town.

I got my Matriculation from this School, many memories to this school. Most of the evenings even after the school spent here. we used to play cricket and other games. I won many prizes from this school and I got the highest scholarships from the school, I was among the top 03 students of the school in my time. These days I am living in Houston, USA and I have one Poetry book to my credit named RAHBAR-O-RAHNUMA, which is available at my own site. www.syedayazmufti.com, I am one of the most famous Naat Khawan of Samundri and now of Houston and people of Houston, USA gave me a laqab of HASSAN-E-HOUSTON, I am the chief Editor of www.insafnews.com which is daily online newspaper for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, I am a blogger and Columnist. This is all because this School and Govt Degree College Samundri gave me a lot of things which are working for me. My Father Syed Abdul Sattar Mufti was an Ustad Shayer of this city who has a lot of students in poetry and people of Samundri still celeberate his anniversary on Feb,11th of every year. He has a lot of students who got fame especially Naz Khialvi of Tandliyanwala who got world fame due to his poetry of TUM IK GORAKH DHANDA HO sung by Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
I also earned fame as a Naat Khawan in Samundri thru Jamia Masjid Shokat-e-Islam, At that time the 2nd Naat Khawan was Qari Afzaal who is now an Imam of a Mosque.
Famous Naat Khawan recited my own Kalaam on TV and Radio , like Fasihuddin Soharwardi recited my famous Munqabat " Aab-O-Daana meray HUSSAIN ka he....Her Khazana meray HUSSAIN ka he......
I also wrote the famous Taranas for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
I belong to Ravi Muhallah Ward#6 Samundri but living in Houston, USA for the last 20 years.
